UPDATED REQUIREMENTS FOR LIVESTOCK EXHIBITORS:

  1. All livestock animals (including Dairy Cattle, Beef Cattle, Goats, and Sheep) must be accompanied by a current Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI). The certificate must be issued within 30 days of the start of the fair. Animals will not be admitted without the proper and necessary health papers. The CVI must be available at all times.

  2. An individual official animal identification is required for all goats and sheep and must be permanently affixed to the individual animal. Official ID includes any of the following:

    a. AUSDAeartagwithaUSshield;whichincludesscrapieprogramtags(animalsbearing identification with blue colored scrapie program tags labelled “meat” with a US shield are not permitted to be exhibited in Pennsylvania.)

    b. AlegibletattoowithherdandindividualidentificationrecognizedinanapprovedUSDAScrapie database a.k.a. scrapie tattoo

    c. A breed registration tattoo if the animal is accompanied by a registration certificate and the tattoo is legible.
